The state of the arts under Covid-19

Speaker and topic line-up Janet Baylis of the Festival for Excellence in Dramatic Arts will discuss the process of young people finding their artistic voices. Savannnah Feeke-Fortune of Business and Arts South Africa will give her take on the culture of proximity. Art world practitioner and arts research Masters student, Ann Roberts, will discuss the topic of her thesis: How structural racism has impacted the way people buy art and artists make art. Simon Walker of Marquee TV, based in the UK, will share insight into the role of streaming services in supporting performing arts organisations – especially post-Covid We will also be treated to a short piece of performing art as entertainment, courtesy of Marquee TV.
